Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 rugged detachable laptop launched in India


Panasonic expanded it range of rugged laptop in India with the launch of the Toughbook CF-20 2-in-1 detachable tablet/laptop starting at Rs. 2,25,000, aimed at enterprise sector.

The Panasonic CF-20 comes with a detachable keyboard, which allows it to be used in a number of modes including laptop, tablet, tablet flipped 180 degrees while attached for presentations, convertible mode with keyboard attached, built-in carry mode or hanging on a wall, and vehicle mode while the device is on the move.

It is designed to meet MIL-STD-461F for electromagentic interference and MIL-STD-810G for drop, shock, vibration, explosive atmosphere, temperature, humidity, rain and sand; and is IP65 rated for water and dust resistance, making it possible to survive harsh environments such as field services, utilities, oil and gas, transportation and logistics, healthcare, and defense.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 sports a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) that works even when you’re wearing gloves. There is also support for an  optional active digitizer. Inside there is Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro processor with a clock speed of 1.1GHz clubbed with 8GB RAM along side 128GB 256GB or 512GB SSD.

The tablet houses a USB 3.0 port, micro SDXC card slot, HDMI and micro SIM ports. On the keyboard dock there is three full sized USB ports, HDMI port, VGA port, Ethernet port, serial port and a SDXC card reader. For wireless connectivity there is WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth and options for 4G LTE, NFC and GPS. There is a 2600mAh removable battery on the tablet, and there's an option to place a second battery of the same capacity in the keyboard dock to double the life.

The Panasonic Toughbook CF-20 will be available in the country starting in August from authorised Panasonic resellers and is backed by a three-year limited warranty.
