Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone running Android Marshmallow spotted on GFXBench

Last year Samsung launched two flip phones, the high-end W2016 and a less powerful Galaxy Folder. Earlier this month reports revealed that the company is working on the successor of the W2016, powered by Exynos 8890 SoC (the same utilized by Galaxy S7/S7 edge). And now, the successor of the less powerful Galaxy Folder has been spotted on GFXBench, revealing most of the specifications. (above image for representational purpose)

The Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone carries the model number SMG-1600 and will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. As per the benchmark result the flip phone will have the same 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen display as the Galaxy Folder, but the processor powering the phone will be quad-core Snapdragon 425 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, and the graphics will be handled by Adreno 308 GPU.

Other features include 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera w/ LED, 5MP front camera, keypad and 4G LTE.

The Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 release will be limited to Asia, and according to report the pricing will be similar to its predecessor ($250 | Rs. 15,000). The handset is unlikely to make its way to India.
