6-inch Sony Xperia XA Ultra with 16MP front OIS camera launching in India on July 25

Sony India is teasing the launch of a new Xperia smartphone on Monday, July 25. The teaser reads "Yours perfect Selfie companion with OIS", and the phone used in the teaser has both OIS and selfie flash, which suggests it is the Xperia XA Ultra.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra was introduced in May as a selfie-centric phone featuring 16-megapixel front camera on the front complemented by an LED flash and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) for capturing shake-free selfies. The main camera is a 21.5-megapixel unit with LED flash, f/2.4 aperture, Hybrid Auto-Focus. It also has a dedicated camera button.

It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has 6-inch Full HD display with Sony BRAVIA engine, MediaTek's Helio P10 SoC, 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There's microSD card slot for storage expansion. It supports 4G LTE, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, Miracast, Google Cast and GPS for connectivity. A 2700mAh battery keeps the device running.

We should know the price and availability details next week on Monday, so stay tuned.
