iOS 10 Public Beta now available to download

The first public beta of iOS 10 is now available to download. If you want to try it out before the final version is released this fall, you'll have to sign up for Apple's beta program with your Apple ID. If you opt to download the iOS 10 public beta make sure to backup your device, as it is not the final version and will include bugs and some apps may stop working entirely.

The devices compatible with iOS 10 Public beta include iPhone 5 and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 4th generation, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.

The iOS 10 announcement during Apple's WWDC introduced a slew of new features and improvements including new messaging experience, redesigned Maps and Photos, redesigned Apple Music & News app, a Today screen of interactive notifications, a new Home app for controlling connected-home devices and more. Users will also be able to remove unwanted built-in apps from the Home Screen as well.
