Samsung launches the 7-inch Galaxy J Max in India for Rs. 13,400.
In addition to Galaxy J26, Samsung also launched the the huge 7-inch Galaxy J Max. Interestingly, though the Galaxy J Max has a 7-inch screen, Samsung is calling it a smartphone/phablet. Just a couple of days back, Xiaomi launched the 6.44-inch Mi Max, but unlike the Mi Max the Galaxy J Max specs are nothing special. It offers the usual entry-level specs.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max comes with 7-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) TFT display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 32GB).
For photography, there's 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. The phablet runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, has dual-SIM slots and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 4000mAh battery. It also comes loaded with S bike mode for bikers safety and Ultra Data Saving mode powered by Opera to block unnecessary data consumption by apps in the background.
The Samsung Galaxy J Max is priced at Rs. 13,400 and will be available via online and offline channels later this month. It comes bundled with a free Samsung Bluetooth headset, a six month double data offer for Airtel subscribers worth up to Rs 4,500, and a year subscription to Vuclip video streaming service.
