Meizu MX6 possible specs outed by benchmarks, launch set for July 19

Meizu after launching the Pro 6 is gearing up to launch its second flagship smartphone, MX6 with high end specs. The MX6 will launch on July 19 and ahead of the event few details of the MX6 have surfaced thanks to Geekbench and AnTuTu benchmark listing.

The listing on AnTuTu reveals that MX6 will have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTeks's deca-core Helio X20 MT6797 SoC w/ Mali T880 GPU, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and runs Android Marshmallow based Flyme 5.2.2 OS. Geekbench listing also suggests the same.

Earlier rumors claimed that MX6 will sports 20.7-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front facing camera, but according to AnTuTu, the camera unit on the back will be 12-megapixel and on the front 5-megapixel.

Back in March this year, a leaked roadmap revealed few extra details of MX6. In addition to 32GB storage mode, there will be two more variants with 16GB and 64GB storage. It is expected to feature metal body, mTouch 3.0 fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, NFC and 3300mAh battery or 4000mAh battery.

The Meizu MX6 rumored pricing for various variants are: 16GB – CNY 1799 ($276 | Rs. 18,480), 32GB – CNY 1999 ($306 | Rs. 20,500), 64GB  - CNY 2299 ($353 | Rs. 23,614).

Meizu is also reportedly working on an Ubuntu version of MX6. It will feature the same specs as MX6 but run Ubuntu OS, instead of Android. It is expected to sell for €399, which is about $444 US or INR 30,000.
