Reliance Jio Preview Offer extends to Apple iPhone, HP users
Earlier this week Reliance Jio extended its Preview Offer (unlimited calls and data for three months via Jio SIM) to select Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Now a report suggests that Jio is planning to include HP and select iPhone users to the mix as well very soon.
Reliance Jio is expected to offer the preview to all VoLTE enabled iPhones including iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE. To avail the offer, iPhone users have to install My Jio app on their device and follow the on-screen instructions to genrate a cupon code for a Jio SIM card. The code would be required while filling the CAF form.
Further, the report suggests that Reliance Jio has distributed testing SIM cards to other smartphone brands which in recent times have launched VoLTE smartphones. These brands are also expected to get preview offer in the coming weeks.
TelecomTalk separately reports that Jio is also now allowing HP users to avail the Jio Preview offer on HP devices. To get the offer, HP India customers need to visit Jio.com/Preview/hp, then in the information page, they need to enter their details with HP serial number.
To recall, the Preview Offer includes three months of free unlimited data and unlimited voice calls, unlimited video calls, 9000 SMS, unlimited 4G data and Jio Premium apps.
To recap, the Preview offer was initially limited to LYF smartphones only, and expanded to Samsung and now with Apple and HP (and other brands in the coming weeks) joining the bandwagon, Reliance Jio is expected to shake up the telecom industry when its 4G services launch commercially.
LYF claims to have sold over 2 million units of LYF smartphones since their launch and have a user base of over 1.5 million, enjoying Jio services. Jio aims to add 5 million customers soon, as part of their extensive beta test.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Jio is planning to launch its 4G services across India commercially on August 15.
