Samsung Galaxy On5, Galaxy On7 2016 edition in works
The 2016 edition of Galaxy On5 and On7 is in the works. Last month both phones were spotted on India's import-export tracking website Zauba, with model number SM-G570F (On5) and SM-G610F (On7), and now one of them, the Galaxy On5 2016 with have been spotted on Geekbench revealing partial specifications.
The listing reveals that Galaxy On5 2016 will be powered by Exynos 7570 SoC, which could be a quad-core or octa-core SoC. The phone packs 2GB RAM and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Last months Zauba listing dated June 23, reveals that the Galaxy On5 2016 will have 5-inch display. Other specs are not known.
The Galaxy On7 2016 is expected to come with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 SoC w/ Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB RAM, 16GB storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, microSD card slot, dual-SIM slots, NFC and 3000mAh battery. It will run Android Marshmallow.
Currently, there is no word on the official announcement date.
To recap, the original Galaxy On5 and On7 was unveiled in China in October last year, and landed in India in November. Currently the Galaxy On5 and On7 are available to buy for Rs. 8,990 and Rs. 9,990 respectively. The Galaxy On5 feature 5-inch HD display, quad-core Exynos 3475 SoC, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2600mAh battery. The Galalaxy On7 offers 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 410 SoC, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 3000mAh battery. They run Android 5.1 Lollipop (upgradable to Marshmallow).
