Windows 10 Mobile powered NuAns Neo is now on Kickstarter
The NuAns Neo smartphone has a unique design that allows you to customize the look of the phone with interchangeable back covers. The phone runs Windows 10 Mobile and is already available in Japan. Now the company has launched the phone on crowdfunding website Kickstarter for worldwide release.
The unique feature of Neo is its customizable options. There are 64 interchangeable back covers available for two-toned customization, based on your style and personality. The specs include 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, NFC, USB Type-C port and 3350mAh battery. It also supports Windows 10 Mobile's Continuum feature, which allows the phone to be used as a desktop PC when connected to large screen.
The Kickstarter camapaign has a number of tiers available. The base tier is $30, which includes a TWOTONE back cover or a flip case. The market price of Neo is $399.99, but if you pledge $250 or more, you'll get the early bird deal, which includes the phone itself and a back cover/flip cover. Unfortunately all devices in this tier have already been claimed.
Next is the $270 tier with a similar offer and a total of 1000 devices available, followed by the $325 and $380 tiers, which offer the same as other tier. Lastly, there's the $650 tier which offers two Neo phones and two set of cases.
Shipping will begin worldwide in November, given that they achieve their goal of $725,000. At the time of writing, 134 Kickstarter backers have pledged over $137,085, with 38 days to go. You can read more here.
