Xiaomi Mi Note 2 rumored to sport 5.7-inch display, 12MP dual rear cameras


New details of Xiaomi's upcoming flagship Mi Note 2 have surfaced again including specs, variants and pricing details. Earlier reports have indicated that Mi Note 2 will arrive in three variants, and the latest confirms the same.

The Mi Note 2 will have a screen size of 5.7-inch and the base model will have Full HD screen resolution, while the top end model will have dual curved QHD (2K) display panels. The top end model will also have Force Touch display, similar to iPhone 6s/6s Plus, which can differentiate between a light tap and hard press, enabling access to more functions just by pressing harder.

Other specs mentioned are metal body, 4GB  RAM, 128GB internal storage, 16MP camera (base models) & 12MP dual rear camera for top end model, 4000mAh battery and ultrasonic fingerprint scanner hidden under the display. Earlier reports have suggested that Mi Note 2 will have same specs, but have additionally revealed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC or Snapdragon 823 SoC.

As for the variants, the base model of Mi Note 2 will have 4GB RAM/32GB storage priced at CNY 2499 ($375 | Rs. 25,200), 6GB RAM/64GB storage priced at CNY 2999 ($450 | Rs. 30,000) and the top end model 6GB RAM/128GB storage/2K curved edge display storage priced CNY 3499 ($525 | Rs. 35,300).

Just like previous rumors, nothing is officially confirmed yet so take the leak with a pinch of salt.
