Xiaomi shares new teaser, likely for the Mi Note 2


Xiaomi has started teasing the launch of new product in China, which hints the Mi Note 2. The teaser tagline reads "Love it, no one lose" and shows an incorrect mathematical equation 2 > 5, that means 2 is greater than 5, which is incorrect. But Xiaomi, could be indicating that Mi Note 2 is more powerful and arriving with more powerful specs than the company's flagship the Mi 5.

Although no release date has been mentions, rumor mill has been outing details of the Mi Note 2. The Mi Note 2 will reportedly come in multiple variant, with the base model sporting Full HD display and the top-end model flaunting QHD display. Total there will be three variants, all with 5.7-inch screen encased in metal body and following configurations (along with rumored price):

Base model – Full HD display, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP rear camera, CNY 2499 ($375 | Rs. 25,200)

Second model – Full HD display, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16MP rear camera, CNY 2999 ($450 | Rs. 30,000)

Top-end model – QHD (2K) curved edge display (like Galaxy S7 edge), 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, 12MP dual rear cameras CNY 3499 ($525 | Rs. 35,300)

The top-end model is also rumored to have force touch display, similar to iPhone6s/6s Plus. A Force Touch display can differentiate between a light tap and hard press, enabling access to more functions just by pressing harder. The Mi Note 2 is rumored to utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820/821 or 823 SoC and have fingerprint scanner, and 4000mAh battery.

Note that, the specs mentioned above are based on rumors and speculations, and not yet officially confirmed by Xiaomi, so take it with a pinch of salt. We can expect Xiaomi to release more teasers in the coming days.
