Asus ZenBook 3 laptop, Transformer 3 Pro convertible launched in India


In addition to the ZenFone 3 line up, Asus also launched the Windows 10 powered ZenBook 3 notebook and Transformer 3 Pro convertible in India.

The Asus ZenBook 3 has been priced at Rs. 1,47,999, while the Transformer 3 Pro costs Rs. 1,44,999. Both devices will be available from October 2016 onwards across all major ecommerce sites, Asus Exlcusive Stores and leading retail stores.

The ZenBook 3 has 12.5-inch edge-to-edge Gorilla Glass 4 display, Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD. Other features include fingerprint scanner w/ Windows Hello support, USB Type-C, 4 x Harman Kardon speakers, glass-covered touch pad, 720p webcam, Bluetooth and WiFi.

The laptop's body is crafted from aerospace-grade alumium alloy, has diamond-cut edges and an waistline of 11.9mm. It also boasts an innovative cooling system with the world’s slimmest fan design at 3mm.

Asus Transformer 3 Pro
The Transformer 3 Pro has a slim 8.35mm aluminium body and has an adjustable kickstand. The convertible features a 12.6-inch display with 2880 x 1920 resolution and is powered by Intel Core i7 processor and can be configured with up to 1TB SSD and up to 16GB RAM. It comes with USB Type-C port, Thunderbolt 3 port (support for dual external 4K UHD display), USB 3.0 port, HDMI port, 13MP rear camera, fingerprint scanner and Harman Kardon stereo speakers.

It comes bundled with Asus Transformer Cover Keyboard which is backlit and provides laptop-grade 1.4mm key travel for a comfortable typing experience.

Asus also launched accessories for the ZenBook 3 and Tranformer 3 Pro. They include Universal Dock, Audio Pod and ROG XG Station 2, Asus Pen. The Universale Dock offers several connectivity ports including USB-C 3.1, USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, RJ45 LAN, and a 3-in-1 SD card reader. The Audio Pod is a wireless accessory that offers 4 x power speakers to offer 360 degree virtual 5.1 channel surround sound. The ROG XG Station 2 is an external graphics card dock for Transformer 3 Pro (for VR-ready experience), while the Asus Pen is a stylus pen with 1024 levels of precision for taking notes and creating sketches.
