HTC unveils One A9s with 5-inch display, Helio P10 SoC

HTC has introduced a new variant of the One A9, dubbed One A9s at IFA 2016. The phone comes with a slightly refreshed design with repositioned rear camera, which has been moved to the top left corner, and ditches the HTC logo. Similar to its predecessor, the One A9s flaunts a premium metal unibody design and has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button.

The HTC One A9s features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, instead of Qualcomm's (Snapdragon 617 SoC). It comes in two variants – 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage. The storage is expandable via microSD card.

For photography, there's 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 1080p video recording. For selfies and video calling it gets 5-megapixel front snapper. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS and NFC. It runs Android Marshmallow and is fueled by 2300mAh battery.

Currently there's no details on pricing and availability.
