Intex launches Aqua Costa, Aqua 4.5 3G affordable 3G smartphones

After launching the 4G VoLTE enabled fingerprint touting Aqua S7 for Rs. 9,499, Intex has listed two new 3G Aqua-series smartphones on the company website. Dubbed Aqua Costa and Aqua 4.5 3G, both are affordable entry-level dual-SIM phones with support for only 3G networks.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow running Aqua Costa features 5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6508M processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB storage, with storage expansion support via microSD card (up to 32GB). It has 5MP rear camera w/ LED flash, 2MP front facing camera and a 2200mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.

The low-end Aqua 4.5 3G offers outdated OS and specs, running Android 4.4 KitKat and featuring 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display, 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK6572A SoC, 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt expandable storage, 2MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera. It is fueled by a 1500mAh battery.

Apart from 3G and dual-SIM, both phones support Bluetooth, WiFi, Micro-USB, GPRS/EDGE, A-GPS and 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity.

The Intex Aqua Costa and Aqua 4.5 3G are priced at Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 3,349 respectively and is expected to go on sale in the country soon.
