LeEco Le Pro 3 with Snapdragon 821 SoC, 8GB RAM launch expected on September 21

The long-rumored 8GB RAM phone from LeEco may finally see the light of the day soon. The company has scheduled an event on September 21 in China, where it is expected to unveil the Le Pro 3 smartphone.

According to rumors, the Le Pro 3 will have a variant with 8GB RAM, making it the first smartphone to pack that much RAM, although we really don't need that much RAM in a phone. However, at this point it is just a rumor, so take it with a pinch of salt. The 8GB RAM variant will feature 256GB inbuilt storage. There will be another variant with 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage as well.

As for the other specs, the standard 6GB RAM/64GB storage Le Pro 3 variant will have 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 16MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE,, USB Type-C and 4070mAh battery with fast charging support.

The high-end Le Pro 3 with 8GB RAM/ 256 storage is expected to feature 5.7-inch Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display, Snapdragon 821 SoC, 13MP dual rear cameras, 16MP front camera and a massive 5000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Both variants of Le Pro 3 will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI on top, sport metal body and include 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C and fingerprint scanner at the back.

LeEco has also released teasers taking a dig at Apple's new iPhone 7 Plus's battery life and charging time. LeEco says that the Le Pro 3 will pack bigger batteries and support fast charging, and the leaked specs confirm the same.
