Reliance Jio SIM card could soon be delivered to your doorstep

Reliance Jio's 4G service launched commercially on September 5 with free data Jio Welcome Offer (unlimited 4G data, calls, SMS, access to Jio apps) that lasts till December 31.

The offer has received over whelming response, and there's huge demand for Jio SIM card in the country. However the company has failed to meet them, as people are queuing up in front of Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress stores to get their hand on the SIM, but are not able to.

Now, the company is reportedly making it easier for customers to get their hands on the SIM card by offering home delivery service. According to a new report, Reliance Jio plans to launch an online portal where prospective customers can sign up to a Jio SIM card. They will have to provide basic information like full name, address, identity and address proof.

After filing the online form, the company will deliver Jio SIM to the applicant's address within five or seven working days, which is certainly better than waiting in line for hours at the stores. The report also mentions the Jio has already tested the home delivery service of its SIM and could launch the service in metro cities soon, followed by a wider roll out.

As of now Relaince Jio is yet to make an official announcement confirming the report.
