Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) specs and renders leaked


Samsung's Galaxy A8 is reportedly getting an upgrade. The upcoming 'A' series smartphone dubbed Galaxy A8 (2016) have surfaced in renders that offers a detailed look the the phone's design from all angles.

According to the renders the Galaxy A8 (2016) design looks a lot like Galaxy S7. As seen in the render, the Galaxy A8 (2016) will sport an aluminum finish all along the outer rim and has glossy glass back finish. The front panel appears to have a layer of 2.5D curved glass. Similar to other Samsung devices, there's a home button on the front below the display, which is likely to house the fingerprint sensor as well.

On the front there's the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensor, along with the selfie camera. One the left there's volume rockers and SIM card slot, whereas on the right side sits the power button. There's a groove on top of the  At the bottom there's two antenna cut outs, USB ports and 3.5mm headphone jack.


As for the specs, according to AnTuTu and GFXBench, the Galaxy A8 (2016) is expected to feature 5.1-inch 1080p display, octa-core Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB storage, 8MP or 16MP rear camera, 5MP or 8MP front camera and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Last year's Galaxy A8 was 5.9mm thick, but the Galaxy A8 (2016) will have a thickness of 7.3mm.

Although the launch date of Galaxy A8 (2016) is not known, the naming scheme suggests that it might launch before the end of 2016.
