Google's Jamboard is a digital Whiteboard with 55-inch 4K screen for collaboration


Google on Wednesday announced a new office hardware product called Jamboard, it's answer to Microsoft's Surface Hub.

The Jamboard is a digital whiteboard with 55-inch 4K touchscreen designed for business who use G Suite of cloud-based tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs among others. Users can post their ideas, documents, slides and images on the big screen.

Jamboard supports up to 16 simultaneous touch inputs and includes a stylus, built-in HD cameras speaker and WiFi. It is connected to Google's cloud and comes with collaboration tools that allows multiple users in different location to collaborate on documents, draw, type or modify them in real time through the device.

It is also equipped with tools like sticky notes and stencils, and intelligent features like handwriting and shape recognition. It can also sense, when you're using your finger to wipe-off things from the whiteboard instead of drawing.

Jamboard  can be mounted on a wall or attached to a stand and features a pen and eraser holder. It is priced at $6,000 and will be available in 2017.
