Huawei Mate 9 Pro with 5.9-inch 2K display, dual cameras surfaces in renders

Huawei will unveil latest Mate series smartphone, the Mate 9 on November 3 in Germany. Now ahead of the unveiling, the Pro model of Mate 9 have surfaced online in renders courtesy of Evan Blass.

As seen in the renders the Mate 9 Pro will have a curved screen display, just like Galaxy Note7. Interestingly there's a physical home button at the front which usually houses fingerprint sensor, but there's a fingerprint scanner at the back. So the home button could offer some other functionality.

It will sport dual-rear camera setup of 20MP unit with Leica SUMMARIT lenses with 4X optical zoom and runs Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone will also support Google's Daydream VR platform.

As far as other specs are concerned the Mate 9 Pro will feature 5.9-inch QHD display, Huawei's new octa-core Kirin 960 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage, 8MP front camera, 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac, NFC and 4000mAh battery.

The Mate 9 Pro is rumored to carry a price tag of $1300 (Rs. 87,000). We should find out more next Tuesday.
