MSI outs Cubi 2 mini PC with Kaby Lake processor

MSI has launched Cubi 2, its latest mini desktop PC which comes with Intel's 7th generation Kay Lake processor.

The Cubi 2 measures 4.5 x 4.4 x 1.7-inches and supports Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 Kaby Lake-U series processors, backed by Intel HD 620 graphics, which means Cubi 2 is capable of supporting displays with up to 4K resolutions.

MSI will offer the Cubi 2 in two versions: one with enough room for an M.2 SDD, while the other will be a slightly version and has space for M.2 storage and a 2.5-inch HDD or SDD. Connectivity ports include 3 x USB 3.1 ports, a USB Type-C port and mic & headphone jacks.

The system is small enough to attach to the back of a display via VESA mount. It also supports up to two displays via DisplayPort and HDMI out port. MSI says that Cubi 2 "has an excellent thermal design and low noise fan, resulting in a low noise level of only 23.7 dB, as quiet as a forest."

MSI Cubi 2 comes in choice of black or white chassis and will release soon globally.
