Samsung suspends Galaxy Note7 sales, warn users to turn it off

A day ago, it was reported that Samsung has halted production of Galaxy Note7, following reports of replacement Galaxy Note7 units catching fire. Major U.S telecos Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T, and other carriers worldwide also suspended the sales of the phone as well.

Following all the recent events, Samsung has asked stores and phone carriers globally to stop selling and exchanging units of Galaxy Note7, which were supposed to be safe.

Samsung also warned users of original Galaxy Note7 or replacement Galaxy Note7 to power down and stop using the device "and take advantage of the remedies available". The brand is offering refund or exchange of faulty units with any other smartphone available in the inventory.

The company also said that it's "working with relevant regulatory bodies to investigate the recently reported cases involving the Galaxy Note7". The latest move comes after several replacement units deemed safe caught fire (six incidents), event when not being charged.
