MobiKwik's Lite e-Wallet app tackles slow data connectivity for digital payment

MobiKwik one of India's leading mobile wallet apps, has released a lite version of its digital wallet called MobiKwik Lite. The lite version of the app is aimed at users in the country, who faces challenges of poor internet connectivity and are not able to access digital payments easily. The app will also help unrecognized shopkeepers and retailers across the county in receiving payments seamlessly.

MobiKwik Lite weighs under 1MB and can be downloaded within 30 seconds even on 2G/Edge connection. The company says that the app works smoothly on EDGE connections and will soon get a feature allowing it to be used even with the need of internet connectivity.

The app supports receiving digital payments, bank transfers, P2P transfers, bill payments and recharges. Users of the app will have to pay bank transfer fee till March 31, 2017.

As of now is compatible with Android smartphones running Android v2.3 or higher/iOS. Currently it supports Hindi and English languages, and will be made available in other languages in the coming days.

The MobiKwik Lite app can be be downloaded by giving missed call to 80971-80971 from and any Android smartphone to receive the download link, and users can register on the app with their mobile numbers, without the need of an email account.
