Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom with dual rear cameras gets certified by China's TENAA

The Asus ZenFone 3 family includes ZenFone 3 Max, ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Ultra and ZenFone 3 Deluxe and their respective variants. Now a new member of the family, the ZenFone 3 Z01HDA model, believed to be ZenFone 3 Zoom, has been certified by China's certification agency  TENAA revealing specs and images.

The ZenFone 3 Zoom will be a camera-centric smartphone just like ZenFone Zoom, that was launched last year, but will feature dual-rear cameras. This will be Asus' first smartphone to come with such feature.

For reference the ZenFone Zoom boasted 13MP rear camera with 10-element Hoya lens and 3X optical zoom. On ZenFone 3, we'll find dual 16MP rear cameras, however it is not known what features it will offer and how it will work.

As for the other features, the ZenFone 3 Zoom will have a metal body, rear mounted fingerprint scanner, 13MP front camera and 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top. It will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and 5000mAh battery, and come in three variants: 2GB RAM/16GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. It will run Android Marshmallow with Zen UI on top.

Asus has already scheduled Zennovation event for CES 2017, Las Vegas on January 4. The original ZenFone Zoom was unveled at last year's CES, so we can expect the ZenFone 3 Zoom to be unveiled at CES 2017.
