BSNL's STV 498 data plan offers unlimited 3G data for 14 days

To counter Reliance Jio and its free services, state run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new data plan called STV 498, that offers unlimited 3G data with no data limit for 14 days. It will be available as a promotional offer to both existing and new BSNL prepaid customers across the country until January 7.

Since this plan doesn't come with data speed limit, users will be able to enjoy unlimited high-speed data on BSNL's 3G network. It's worth mentioning that no other telecom operators are offering such unlimited high-speed data packs, as they have FUP (fair usage policy) limit on their unlimited data packs, post exhaustion, users have to browse internet at low speeds.

This is not the first time BSNL is offering unlimited data to users. Back in August, it launched a plan priced at Rs. 1,099, which offered unlimited 3G data without any data cap for 30 days.
