Moto X 2017 renders and video leaked
Motorola launched the innovative semi-modular Moto Z smartphone this year, giving the Moto X line up a skip. Now it appears that Moto X will make a comeback in 2017. Already live images of Moto X 2017 have been leaked and now the team of @Onleaks and Android Authority have shared some new renders based on the CAD information and a 360-degree video of the device.
Firstly the render are in line with the live images which were leaked earlier this month. As seen in the render, the Moto X looks lot like the Moto Z, featuring the same circular module for camera and flash, but the body is more thicker. However, Mod connectors (pogo pins) are missing in the back, which means Moto Mods will not be compatible with the phone.
Thankfully the headphone jack is still there, which was missing in Moto Z. But the Moto X 2017 will have micro-USB port as opposed to Moto Z's USB Type-C port. On the front there is the rectangular fingerprint scanner, which is found on Moto G4 Plus and Moto Z.
The source says that Moto X 2017 will have 5.2-inch display and the dimensions are 150mm x 73.8mm, while the waistline measures 8.4mm (9.5 mm with camera bump), making it thicker than Moto Z's 5.2mm waistline.
The Moto X (2017) is expected to be unveiled at MWC in February next year.
