Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK was expected to announce the bezel-less ZUK Edge smartphone last week, but that did not happen. Instead ZUK announced price cuts on its smartphone and revealed plans about Nougat update.

ZUK said that it will roll out Android 7.0 Nougat in the form of ZUI 2.5 for Z2 and Z2 Pro smartphones by January 2017. It will get beta Nougat build by end of January.

It's worth mentioning that these update plans are for China versions only, there is not details about Nougat update for the Z1 global version running Cyanogen OS and the Lenovo Z2 Plus (ZUK Z2), which was recently launched in India.

ZUK also announced price cut on the Z2 and Z2 Pro. The ZUK Z2 that was introduced for CNY 1799 has received price cut of CNY 400 and will be available for CNY 1399 ($200 | Rs. 14,000).
