Asus India to launch ZenFone 3S Max with 5000mAh battery on February 7


The Asus ZenFone 3 Max was launched in India back in November last year packing 4100mAh battery. Now the brand is also set to launch an upgraded model with more battery capacity.

Called ZenFone 3S Max, the smartphone will be launched in the country on February 7 and comes with a beefy 5000mAh battery, which promises up to two days of normal usage. It also supports reverse charging technology, which means it the ZenFone 3S Max can be used a power bank to charge other devices via USB OTG.



As far as other specs are concerned, the metal-clad ZenFone 3S Max will have 5-inch HD display, 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, hybrid dual-SIM slots and 4G LTE. It also has a fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button and runs Google's latest Android flavor, Nougat.

Asus is already selling two models of ZenFone 3 Max in the country, 5.5-inch model at Rs. 17,999 and 5.2-inch model costing Rs. 12,999. The ZenFone 3S Max will be the third addition to the series. Unfortunately, the pricing and availability details are not known, but we well know that next Tuesday. Chinese smartphone maker ZTE is also expected to launch a battery-centric device, the Blade A610 Plus later this week, with 5000mAh battery as well.
