GOQii introduces new heart rate tracking wearable and heart rate care service

Homegrown fitness technology company, GOQii is launching a new fitness tracker which comes embedded with a heart rate sensor that focuses on cardiovascular health. The new Heart Care Tracker has the capabilities to measure heart rate of the wearer, and further the wearer can share details of the collected data with a specialist.

This can be done through the new platform called GOQii heart Care service, for which the company has partnered with with Max Hospital, allowing wearers of the fitness tracker to connect to cardiovascular specialists via GOQii app.

To use the service, users have to share their health and heart related data using GOQii's heart rate tracker with the GOQii Doctor for analysis. The doctor will then analyze the data and offer suggestions to the users on how to maintain good heart health. In specific cases, if required, the doctor will refer the user to a cardiac specialist at Max or other partner hospitals.

GOQii's new wearable comes with an OLED display and inbuilt USB charger, and offers fitness tracking capabilities, NFC for payment support, auto-sleep detection and notifications for calls, SMS, etc., similar to the second generation smart band that was introduced in August last year.

The Heart Care service along with GOQii’s new heart rate tracker will be available at a subscription Rs. 2,999 for 6 months and Rs. 3,999 for 12 months. It can be purchased through Amazon India starting February 14.
