Huawei P8 Lite gets a 2017 refresh with Kirin 655, Android Nougat
Huawei is refreshing its last year's mid-range smartphone, P8 Lite, giving it a major upgrade in design and all hardware department, as well as adding fingerprint scanner and support for microSD card.
The new model called P8 Lite 2017 sports curved glass on both front and rear with metallic frame running on the edges. It runs on the latest Android Nougat based EMUI 5.0.
The Huawei P9 Lite 2017 has 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by octa-core Kirin 655 processor. It will be available in two variants ㅡ 3GB RAM/16GB storage and 4G RAM/64GB storage.
It features 12MP f/2.0 rear camera with LED flash and 8MP front facing camera. Connectivity options are hybrid-dual SIM slots, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC. A 3000mAh battery runs the show.
The Huawei P8 Lite 2017 price starts at 239 Euros ($254 | Rs. 17,000) for the 3GB RAM/16GB storage model and will be available for purchase in Europe later this month in White, Black and Gold color. The pricing of 4GB RAM/64GB storage is not known yet.
