Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 spotted on Geekbench running Android Nougat


Samsung is gearing up to expand its budget 'Galaxy J' line up, giving it a 2017 refresh with upgraded hardware. One of them Galaxy J7 2017 was spotted at several website, including India's import/export tracker Zauba, Bluetooth (SIG) and WiFi certification websites.

So far we know that Galaxy J7 (2017) will have the model number SM-J727V with Bluetooth 4.2 and run Android 7.0 Nougat on-board.

Now the handset has been spotted on Geekbench as well running Android Nougat but with a different model number, SM-J727P, which could be a variant of Galaxy J7 2017.

As per the listing, Galaxy J7 2017 will feature Qualcomm's 2.21GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor (could be SD-625) and 2GB RAM. It scores 889 and 4200 in single-core and multi-core performance respectively.

According to earlier rumors, the Galaxy J7 (2017) will have a design similar to the recently launched Galaxy J3 Emerge. It is expected to come with 5.5-inch Full HD display, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 3000mAh battery. There's also a 3GB RAM variant as well, which could be the SM-J727V model.

It is not known, when Samsung will launch the Galaxy J7 (2017).
