Selfie-centric Oppo A57 with 16MP front camera launched in India

The Oppo A57 selfie-smartphone has officially launched in India for Rs. 14,990. The A57 will be available through offline as well as online retailers including Amazon India, Flipkart and Snapdeal starting February 3.

As Oppo A57 is a selfie-smartphone, it comes with 16MP f/2.0 front facing camera boasting features like selfie flash, Bokeh effect and Beautify 4.0. The main unit at the back is a 13MP PDAF camera with LED flash.

The phone sports premium metal unibody design and features 5.2-inch HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. There's a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button.

It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based ColorOS 3.0 and includes dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2900mAh battery.

Oppo with the A57, will be competing with its Chinese counterparts, vivo and Gionee in Indian market, who also focus on selfie smartphones.
