Gionee to introduce A1, A1 Plus smartphones on February 27 at MWC 2017
Gionee is the latest smartphone brand to announce its MWC presence. The Chinese smartphone has scheduled an event at MWC in Barcelona of February 27 to introduce a new 'A series' under which it will launch the A1 and A1 Plus smartphone. Gionee said that the A1 and A1 Plus will carry on Gionee's product DNA like premium slim design, bigger battery, sensational selfie camera.
Thanks to leak, details of one of the model, Gionee A1 is not a mystery. The Gionee A1 will sport metal body in Gold color, and the rear part looks very much like Xiaomi's popular Redmi Note 3. It will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, even though there is a home button on the front.
The source says that the Gionee A1 will feature 5.5-inch Full HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display, octa-core MediaTek processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt storage, 13MP rear camera, 16MP front camera, 4G VoLTE support, hybrid dual-SIM slots and backed by 4010mAh battery. It will run Android Nougat based Amigo OS 3.6. Unfortunately, details of Gionee A1 Plus are scarce, but it can be expected to come with a upgraded specs and dual cameras.
The Gionee A1 is rumored to carry a price tag equivalent of $336 or Rs. 22,550, and launch in India sometime in March. We should know all the official details later this month.
