Leaked logo suggests bigger Galaxy S8 will be called Galaxy S8+

The Galaxy S8 leaks just keep on flowing. In the latest leak we get to see the logo of the bigger Galaxy S8 courtesy of Evan Blass. The logo seemingly confirms that the bigger Galaxy S8 will be called Galaxy S8+, which means Samsung won't be using the 'edge' moniker this time, as it did with the bigger Galaxy S7 last year.

The absence of 'edge' branding does not mean Galaxy S8 series will not have curved design, infact both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will reportedly have curved display, which is a very popular innovation from Samsung, and has been utilized by many Chinese smartphone makers like Huawei, Xiaomi, vivo to name a few.

Earlier reports have also claimed that Galaxy S8 series will have edge design on both the models ― the Galaxy S8 with 5.8-inch display (and 3000mAh battery) and Galaxy S8+ with 6.2-inch display (and 3500mAh battery).

Meanwhile, support page for the Galaxy S8 have gone live on Samsung's India, Singapore and Kazakhstan website. The smartphone is listed only with the model number SM-G955FD, the D confirming that, Galaxy S8 series will have dual-SIM support. However, it is not known, whether the Galaxy S8 series will have hybrid dual-SIM slots, or separate slots for dual-SIMs and microSD card.

Other expected features of Galaxy S8 series include all-screen design, slim bezels on top and bottom, QHD display, Snapdragon 835/Exynos 8895 chip, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, waterproof body, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, Android Nougat and Microsoft Continuum like capabilities via Dex dock. They are also said to come with digital assistant called Bixby, which will be marketed as Samsung Hello. It is expected to have support for eight languages.
