HTC U Ultra India launch set for February 21


The U Ultra feature packed flagship from HTC went official last month, and now the company is all set to launch the phone in India.

HTC has sent out press invites for an event on February 21, where it will launch and reveal the pricing and availability details of the U Ultra for India market. The 64GB version of U Ultra Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black hues is already listed as coming soon on the HTC India eStore.

The main highlight of HTC U Ultra is its LG V20-like secondary 2-inch touch display that shows notifications, reminders, shortcuts to frequent contacts, music playback controls and more. It also come with a Sense Companion software powered by AI, which learns users daily activity and offers intelligent suggestions. 

The U Ultra sports 3D glass back that gives it a stunning look in various lighting environments. The phone also ditches the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of USB Type-C. It runs Android Nougat and the fingerprint sensor is embedded into the home button.

As far as specs are concerned, the HTC U Ultra comes with 5.7-inch Quad HD Super LCD 5 display with Gorilla Glass 5, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, 12MP f/1.8 OIS rear camera, 16MP f/2.0 front camera, 4G LTE, NFC and 3000mAh battery.

The HTC U Ultra is priced at $750 in the U.S which is around Rs. 51,000, but expect the India pricing to be around Rs. 55,000.
