Moto G5 Plus live image surface, reveals 5.2-inch display, 12MP camera and 3000mAh battery


The successor of the popular budget Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphone – the Moto G5 and G5 Plus – are most likely to be announced at MWC 2017, Barcelona on February 26. Ahead of the official announcement, live images of one of the Moto G5 series ― Moto G5 Plus has surfaced in live images, revealing couple of key specs thanks to the protective film on the screen of Moto G5 Plus.



Earlier rumors had claimed that Moto G5 Plus would sport 5.5-inch display, but the leaked image suggests that it will have a smaller 5.2-inch Full HD display. It will be powered by an 2GHz octa-core processor (Snapdragon 625 likely), and will come with12MP Rapid Focus primary shooter, and comes with fingerprint scanner, NFC support and 3000mAh battery backed by TurboPower fast charging technology. 

This is a Brazil-specific variant and will come with built-in Digital TV Tuner (DTV).Although, not mentioned, the Moto G5 series will most likely boot Android Nougat, along with "Motorola Experiences".

Meanwhile reliable tipster Roland Quandt has revealed that Moto G5 Plus 12MP camera will feature Sony's IMX362 sensor, and come with PDAF, f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording capabilities. The selfie camera is a 5MP unit with OmniVision OV56952 sensor and f/2.2 aperture.

As per earlier reports the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will go sale in March in various markets including India.
