Meizu m5s launch expected on February 15


Meizu has scheduled an event in China on February 15, to introduce a new budget smartphone, the m5s, which is the successor of m3s. The brand also shared a teaser of meizu 5s, that suggests the phone will come with improved fast charging.

The Meizu m5s specs and design are no mystery, as the phone has received TENAA certification, showing a design similar to the metal-clad Meizu m3s, but it will get internal upgrades like slightly bigger display, new processor and more RAM & storage.

According to TENAA, the meizu m3s will come with 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, 13MP PDAF rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2930mAh battery.

It will be available in three variants 2GB RAM/16GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage in Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold hues.

Other features include expandable storage, hybrid dual-SIM slots, 4G VoLTE, fingerprint scanner and Android Marshmallow based Flyme OS 6.0. It is rumored to carry starting price tag of CNY 999 ($145 | Rs. 10,000).
