BSNL offers 1GB free data to its non-Internet users
In an attempt to drive more users to use its Internet services, state owned telecom operator BSNL has announced that its will offer 1GB of free data to its prepaid subscribers who have never used Internet on its network.
The teleco's move is aimed at promoting the digital India drive, as well as increasing the number of its prepaid internet users.
Specifically, subscribers who have never used Internet services or activated BSNL GSM data pack on their smartphones will get the free data. The free 1GB data will be available on a pan-India basis for BSNL subscribers, and will be automatically credited to their account.
The 1GB free data will have a validity of 28 days.
