China's iVOOMi debuts in India with the Rs. 3,999 iV505 smartphone

The already crowded Indian smartphone market is getting a new player. China's iVOOMi brand has set foot into India with an entry-level smartphone called iV505.

The phone carries an affordable price tag and is compatible with Jio SIM card thanks to the VoLTE support and also packs a bigger battery. Aside these there is nothing special about the smartphone and the specs are at the lower end side.

The iVOOMi iV505 features 5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It gets 5MP front and rear camera, and the rear camera is assisted by an LED flash.

The dual-SIM phone runs SmartMe OS based on Android Marshmallow and supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. A 3000mAh battery runs the show, backed by fast charging technology.

The iVOOMi iV505 is priced at Rs. 3,999 and will be exclusively available through ShopClues in Black and Gold hues. It is currently up for pre-order and will be available for purchase from March 8.

iVOOMi also plans to launch three more smartphones in India ranging from Rs. 4,000 and Rs. 10,000, in the near future.
