Microsoft will sell Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition


Microsoft has announced that it will be selling a Microsoft Edition of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones  in the U.S through its retail stores. 

No, the Microsoft edition of Galaxy S8/S8+ will not run Windows 10 Mobile platform. They will still run Android Nougat, but feature Microsoft's business productivity apps  such as Cortana, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Bing, Groove, Skype, MSN News and more, which will be downloaded the first time the phones are connected to WiFi.

This is not the first Microsoft is bundling apps on Samsung devices, earlier, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 series were also bundled with apps like Skype, OneDrive and OneNote.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ Microsoft Edition are now up for pre-order in the U.S and will be available from April 21 through Microsoft Store locations.
