Moto G5 Plus will be Flipkart exclusive

Motorola (owned by Lenovo) unveiled the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at MWC 2017 last week. The company has already confirmed that the Moto G5 Plus will launch in India on March 15. Today Moto India announced that Moto G5 Plus will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart. The phone is expected to go on sale on March 15 itself.

Motorola re-entered the country's smartphone market with the Moto G1 in an exclusive partnership with Flipkart, however, the brand expanded its availability and for the Moto G4 (and some other devices) it teamed up with Amazon India. Now Moto is appointing Flipkart to sell the popular Moto G line up again.

The Moto G5 Plus is one of the most highly-anticipated smartphone in the country. It is a premium looking metal-clad phone featuring 5.2-inch Full HD Gorilla Glass 3 display, Snapdragon 626 processor, 12MP Sony IMX362 f/1.7 rear camera (w/ Dual Pixel auto-focus, 4K video recording), 5MP front camera, 4G VoLTE and 3000mAh battery.

It runs Android Nougat and comes in multiple variants with 2GB RAM/32GB storage, 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

It also has separate slots for dual-SIM and microSD card. There's also a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button, which apart from unlocking the device can perform swiping gestures.

The Moto G5 Plus is rumored to carry a starting price tag of Rs. 14,000.
