Panasonic launches metal-clad Eluga Pulse, Eluga Pulse X in India


Panasonic is launching two new smartphones in India called Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X. Both are mid-range budget smartphones with metal unibody design, dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE and VoLTE support for HD calling (via Jio's network), rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and runs Android Marshmallow.

The Panasonic Eluga Pulse features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a layer of Asahi Dragontrail glass on top and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

For photography, there's 13MP rear camera with triple LED flash and 5MP front camera. It also includes WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, while a 2200mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The Eluga Pulse X gets a bigger 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM and 3000mAh battery, but the rest of the specs are identical to Eluga Pulse.

The Panasonic Eluga Pulse and Eluga Pulse X have been priced at Rs. 9,690 and Rs. 10,990 respectively and will be available through retail stores starting next week. The come in Gold and Silver hues.
