Sony Xperia XZ gets price cut in India, now available for Rs. 39,990

Sony recently slashed the price of Xperia X by Rs. 14,000, and is available from Flipkart for Rs. 24,990. Now the flagship, Xperia XZ which was launched in India back in September last year for Rs. 51,990,  has received a price cut of Rs. 10,000.

The Xperia XZ is now available for Rs. 41,990 (MRP). However, you can get it from Flipkart for Rs. 39,990.

To refresh your memory, the main highlight of Xperia XZ is its camera. It comes with 23MP rear camera with  Sony's Triple Image Sensing Technology including CMOS sensor, RGBC-IR sensor and a laser autofocus sensor to offer the best shot. The rear camera also features hardware stabilization, LED flash, manual shutter speed and 4K video recording. It packs 13MP wide-angle front camera for selfies.

Other specs include 5.2-inch Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 4, Snapdragon 820 chip, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage, 2900mAh battery, dual-SIM slots, IP68 rating (for dust and water resistance), fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C. It runs Android Marshmallow out of the box, but Nougat update is already ready for the phone.

The price drop hints that Sony might launch the mid-range Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra in the country soon. Both were unveiled at MWC 2017, alongside flagships Xperia XZs and Xperia XZ Premium.
