Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update to start rolling out April 25

Microsoft has already confirmed that it will start rolling out Windows 10 Creators Update out to PC users on April 11 in phases. Now the company has revealed the release date of Windows 10 Mobile Creators update.

In a blog post Microsoft announced that Windows Phone users running Windows 10 Mobile, will get Creators Update on April 25 in the same phased approach.

It's worth noting that the update availability for Windows 10 Mobile users "may vary by manufacturer, model, country or region, mobile operator or service provider, specific installed software, hardware limitations and other factors such as feedback from customers".

Additionally, Microsoft revealed more details about the phased roll out approach for Windows 10 PC users. It said that the Creators update's first phase will target newer PCs, and then expand to additional machines based on feedback received during the initial phase. It also said the update process could take several months before all compatible devices worldwide get the Creators update.

However, if you can't wait until April 11 or later to get the Creators Update, Microsoft says you can use the Update Assistant to manually download and install the software update starting April 5. ― "This option is intended for advanced users on devices running a licensed version of Windows 10."

Microsoft is also giving PC users more control to the users over when installing Windows 10 updates. ― "These include the ability to specify a time that is convenient for you, pause updates for a week, and expand the “active hours” time window during which you don’t want to be disturbed by an update."
