Xiaomi Mi 6 launch date set for April 19


Xiaomi is finally ending the suspense surrounding the launch date of its highly anticiapted flagship Mi 6. The Chinese smartphone maker has announced that the Mi 6 will be unveiled on April 19 in Beijing, China.

The invite reads "You Waited 203 days, we waited 7 year. On April 19, millet 6 news conference". Also in the MIUI forum Xiaomi says the "Mi 6 is a beautifully crafted and powerful device, we can't wait to lift the curtain up on it." 

We already have a rough idea what to expect from the Mi 6, thanks to various rumors and benchmark sightings. There will be two variant, the regular Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus.

As per reports, the Mi 6 will feature 5.1-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, Android 7.1.1 based MIUI and 3200mAh battery. The base model is rumored to carry a price tag of CNY 2199 ($318 | Rs. 20,000).

The Mi 6 Plus on the the other hand is expected to come with a bigger 5.7-inch QHD display, dual 12MP cameras and 4500mAh battery. It is rumored to come with a starting price tag of CNY 2599 (Rs. 24,000| $390).
