China's Lephone enters India with the Rs. 4,599 Lephone W7


India's fastest growing smartphone market is attracting several smartphone brands around the world especially China. Back in March, China's iVOOMi forayed into the country's smartphone market with the entry-level Rs. 3,999 priced iV505.

Now another Chinese smartphone maker called Lephone is also making its market debut with the Lephone W7. Like iVOOMi, Lephone is also aiming at the entry-level sub-Rs. 4,000 market with its first offering to India.

The Lephone W7 features 5-inch FWVGA 2.5D Curved Glass display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, which can be increased via microSD card. It gets 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, WiFi, GPS and USB OTG. It is fueled by an 1800mAh battery.

For software, the phone runs Android Marshmallow based 360 OS and comes with feature like 360Security, 360Clone, dual account support avatar master (Whats app, Wechat, Facebook  and more). It also supports 22 Indian languages including Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The Lephone is priced at Rs. 4,599 and comes in Black, White and Golden colors. There is no word on availability.
