Galaxy Note8 reportedly arriving in September for 999 Euros, specs leaked
Last week a report from the Korean media claimed that Samsung plans to launch its next flagship the Galaxy Note8 on August 26 in New York. However, now refuting the claims, Evan Blass citing an "individual briefed on Samsung's Plan" suggests that the South Korean tech giant will unveil the Galaxy Note8 in the second half of September instead.
The report further mentions that Galaxy Note8 will be Samsung's expensive smartphone yet carrying a price tag of €999 in Europe an around $900 in the US (Rs. 72,000/Rs. 58,000 respectively) , due the addition of dual-cameras, more RAM along with the signature S Pen stylus. To refresh your memory, the Galaxy Note7 was priced at 849 Euros.
The Galaxy Note8 will have a slightly bigger screen than Galaxy S8's 6.2-inch at 6.3-inch, but have the same edge-to-edge AMOLED display display with 18.5:9 aspect ration, as the Galaxy S8 line.
For the performance, it will utilize, in-house Exynos 8895 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets, depending ont the market same as Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, but will come with a massive 6GB RAM. It's worth mentioning that Galaxy S8+ also has a 6GB RAM variant, but is limited to select markets in Asia. It will pack a "relatively conservative" 3300mAh battery, an indication that the company is taking extra precautions to avoid Galaxy Note7 fiasco.
The dual-camera system at the back will have two 12MP sensor with dedicated optical image stabilization for lens. The dual cameras will be stacked horizontally and situated to the left of the flash and heart rate sensor. Just like the Galaxy S8 line, the fingerprint sensor will also be located at the back, right of the flash and heart rate sensor, but this will separated by a greater distance, says the report.
The phone will also support DeX Dock, that will allow you to use the device as a Android PC when connected to monitor for a desktop experience. For software, the Galaxy Note8 will offer improved split-screen multitasking, and a new feature, that will give you the ability to pin handwritten notes on the always-on display. The S-Pen is also getting a couple of new features such as full-sentence language translation and currency conversion.
The Galaxy Note8 will launch in Black, Blue and Gold hues.
