Meizu releases list of devices that will get Android Nougat
While most of Android device makers are done with the Nougat roll out process, and are looking froward to the new Android O, Meizu seems to have just woken up from sleep. The Chinese smartphone maker has released a list of devices that will get Nougat.
The company announced that Android Nougat based Flyme OS will be out to eight smartphones including Pro 6, Pro 6s, Pro 6 Plus, Pro 5, MX6, M5 Note, M3 Note and M3 Max.
The roll out process will start from July 10 and will be rolled out over-the-air in batches. Before that on July 2, Meizu will start testing Nougat on these devices. Users can join the open beta program and get pre-release version of the software, and give feedback to the company. Once the software is bug-free and fully optimized, the stable release will roll out on July 10.
The update will be in three batches: first batch will receive the update on July 10, the second batch on July 17, and the final batch on July 31. It's unclear if international Meizu devices will be getting the update or not.
