OnePlus 5 official press render surface
OnePlus is all set to unleash its next flagship killer, the OnePlus 5 tomorrow, June 20, and we already know how it will look like. Earlier this month we saw a partial render of the device, revealing a design like iPhone 7 Plus and Oppo R11. Now official press render of the OnePlus 5 has leaked courtesy of Evan Blass.
The render shared by the source, is in line with previous leaks, and confirms iPhone 7 Plus like look, along with horizontal placed dual-rear cameras, metal unibody design, top and bottom antennas, and physical home button on the front which will hide the fingerprint scanner.
The OnePlus 5 is already confirmed to feature Snapdragon 835 Mobile platform, 6GB/8GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Additionally OnePlus has revealed the camera specs to publication "The Verge", and claims it to be "the highest resolution dual-camera system on a smartphone today".
The OnePlus 5 will be equipped with dual-rear camera, one is a 16MP f/1.7 wide-angle lens + 20MP f/2.6 telephoto lens, both equipped with Sony sensor. This camera setup is similar to that of Oppo R11 which was released earlier this months.
Other rumored specs include 5.5-inch Full HD display, 16MP selfie camera, USB Type-C port and 3300mAh battery.
OnePlus also says that OnePlus 5 is going to be the most expensive OnePlus device till date. According to rumors the OnePlus 5 prices start at $479 (Rs. 31,000) for the base model, while the Indian pricing is expected to be around Rs. 33,000. To recall the OnePlus 3 price started at $399 in the US and Rs. 27,999 in India.
Less than 24 hours remain for the official unveiling of the OnePlus 5, and we'll get to know all the official details, and whether OnePlus 5 will live up to the flagship killer or never settle hype. The OnePlus 5 will hit the India market on June 22, and go on sale the same day at 4:30pm via Amazon India.
