Sony G8441 benchmarked on AnTuTu with Snapdragon 835, Android O

An upcoming Sony high-end flagship device have been spotted on AnTuTu with model number G8441. If the specs listed are true, then Sony may be the first smartphone maker to ship a new phone with Android O.

It will pack Qualcomm's top-tier Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, similar to the Xperia XZ Premium. The listing further suggests that Sony G8441 will be equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

The display resolution listed is 720p (HD), but it is most likely to be untrue, as details revealed by UAProf suggests the resolution to be Full HD or 1080p. One case could be that the device is capable of automatically switching between resolutions, similar to Xperia Z5 premium and Xperia XZ Premium.

Further the camera resolution is listed as 8MP front and rear sensor.

It is not known, what the device will be called, as reports are conflicting. It is being said that the G8441 could be a Compact version of Xperia XZ Premium with a smaller screen size. Or it could be launched as Xperia XZ1 Compact, which will be accompanied by Xperia XZ1 and both are expected to have the same hardware, but different screen sizes.

Sony is expected to unveil new smartphones at IFA 2017, Berlin that’s scheduled to start on September 1, 2017 and the G8441 could be one of them.
