Moto X4 passes through the FCC, rumored specs confirmed

The Moto X4 is most likely to be Motorola's last smartphone offering this year, and is expected to be announced anytime soon, as the phone has passed through FCC in the U.S. The FCC filing also confirms some of the rumored specs of the device as well, and this is of the U.S version.

As per the listing, the U.S version of Moto X4 will have 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, Snapdragon 630 chip, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, dual 12MP + 8MP camera, 16GB front camera and 3000mAh battery. It will boot Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Motorola is also expected to offer a 3GB RAM/32GB storage version.

Other features include 3D glass back/metal frame, fingerprint scanner, microSD card slot for storage expansion, dual-SIM slots (Asia), 3.5mm audio jack, selfie flash, IP68 water and dust resistance, Super Black/Sterling Blue color options.  

In the U.S the Moto X4 is also rumored to be the first non-Google phone to support Google's Project Fi, meaning it will be able to switch seamlessly between Sprint, T-Mobile and US cellular wide area networks for the best possible signal.

It is still not known when Motorola plans to unveil the Moto X4, but we can expect it to break cover at IFA 2017.
